Nashville executive lands head job at CMS innovation center

Nashville health care entrepreneur and former state official Brad Smith has reportedly been chosen to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ innovation center.

Politico reported Monday that three individuals confirmed the Trump administration is set to unveil Smith as the new head of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation in the near future. The outlet first reported that Smith was the favored candidate for the role in September. A CMS spokesperson declined to confirm the announcement to the Post Monday.
