Investment firm acquires Corizon

An investment firm that specializes in turnarounds has acquired Brentwood-based Corizon Health, the provider of health care and pharmacy services for jails and prisons. Flacks Group, which is based in Miami, isn’t disclosing the price of the purchase.

Corizon is one of the largest privately owned prison health care companies. Its 5,000 employees provide primary care, behavioral health care, dental care and pharmacy services for state, city and county governments around the country. The company has hundreds of locations and generates about $800 million in annual revenue.
