Hall Strategies adds GOP strategist

Soles4Souls, the Nashville-based charity that distributes footwear to the underprivileged and needy around the world, has self-reported a bind that tied it up with regulators.

Todd McKee, general counsel and chief administrative officer for the charity, told NashvillePost.com that the organization told the Internal Revenue Service and the Tennessee Attorney General’s office it has violated rules governing charitable organizations. McKee said the group did so in an effort to maintain transparency and, in his words, to “own an innocent mistake.”
