Lyric Street signs 'Idol' marine

Lyric Street Records has signed singer Josh Gracin, the United States Marine who was an “American Idol 2” finalist last year. Gracin finished fourth in that competition.

Gracin is currently on active duty. Lyric Street officials say while on leave, however, Gracin is spending time in the studio recording his debut album. Marty Williams, one of Nashville’s most in-demand recording engineers (Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, JoDee Messina, Reba, Vince Gill), is producing the album. A single for country radio could be ready as early as March.
