Though she will retain title to Graceland and most of her famous father's personal effects, Lisa Marie Presley, sole heir to the Elvis Presley Estate in Memphis has sold a majority interest in the assets comprising the estate of the late great Elvis Presley to Robert F.X. Sillerman and his company CKX Inc. According to the Memphis Business Journal, Sillerman will pay about $100 million for 85% of Lisa Marie Presley's interests.

CKX will now conduct all business activities concerning Elvis Presley Enterprises, including all trademark rights to the name, likeness and image of Elvis Presley and all Presley Enterprises-owned intellectual property, including the successful music publishing catalog, as well as the Graceland visitor center complex and Heartbreak Hotel. According to a press release, no staffing or personnel changes are anticipated. Priscilla Presley remains as an executive consultant, Jack Soden remains as CEO.
