Cooker Restaurant Corp., which filed bankruptcy in May 2001 and has been unprofitable for quite some time, shut down all of its remaining locations Thursday. During the past two years, the restaurant chain slimmed to 20 locations from 40, moving out of Virginia and Florida, where the chain has been based.

The restaurants’ employees, who still had jobs yesterday, arrived at the West End Avenue restaurant to find a memorandum from the company’s board of directors on its closed doors Thursday morning.
