Facebook exec in line to join Ryman Hospitality board

Shareholders of Ryman Hospitality Properties will decide next month whether a Facebook executive will join the company's board, replacing a retiring director who has been with the company since 2001.

The nominee is 43-year-old Alvin Bowles, who has been Facebook's head of global publisher sales and operations since October 2015. Before that, he was CEO of GrabMedia, a premium video distribution venture, for four and a half years and a senior vice president at Black Entertainment Television for almost four years.
