Delek selling Mapco to Chilean company

A Chilean energy conglomerate that also does business in five other countries will enter the U.S. market by buying Mapco Express and affiliated companies from Delek US Holdings.

Executives with Compañía de Petróleos de Chile (Copec) and Delek have signed a deal that will have the Chilean company pay $535 million in cash for Mapco, which runs about 350 stores in seven states, sells fuel to 142 other stores and runs a fleet of about 50 tractors and trailers. The purchase is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
