Cost containment firm hires ex-Intermedix CEO

The veteran health care technology executive who brought software firm Intermedix to Nashville three years ago has been named to lead the Pennsylvania-based company that manages TennCare’s call center.

Medical management and cost containment company KEPRO announced Wednesday that Joel Portice is now its CEO. In addition to its TennCare call center work, KEPRO this summer won a three-year, $41 million contract to process applications for CoverKids, TennCare’s children’s health insurance plan. The company’s local office is in MetroCenter.
