Ascension Saint Thomas West has completed a $10 million emergency room "modernization" project. 

The project at the hospital's 4220 Harding Pike campus includes three new emergency rooms and six "fast track" rooms to reduce wait times for patients with non-emergent needs. It also includes a upgraded cardiac CT scanner and safety improvements to earn a Level III Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation.
