The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce has elected Daniel Diermeier, chancellor of Vanderbilt University, as its board chair.

According to a release, Diermeier succeeds immediate past chair Wright Pinson, president of Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network. Pinson led the chamber during a leadership transition with the retirement of longtime CEO and President Ralph Schulz and the appointment of current CEO and President Stephanie Coleman.
