Vanderbilt has paid $2.55 million for a commercial building sitting one block south of West End Avenue — the university’s latest such deal as it continues to acquire campus-area property.

According to a Davidson County Register of Deeds document, the sellers of the 0.16-acre property, with an address of 112 29th Ave. S., were Cynthia Parten and Mark Parten. The latter and Michael Willis acquired the property in 1998 for $200,000, Metro records show.
