The Metro Development and Housing Authority took another step forward in its plans to redevelop its affordable housing communities on Thursday, when officials broke ground on MDHA’s Park Point East development.

The project is part of the roughly $602.3 million Cayce Transformation, formerly known as Envision Cayce, a years-long process aimed at converting the grounds of Nashville’s decades-old public housing buildings into higher-density, mixed-income neighborhoods.
