Downtown’s SoBro Guest House will reopen in August with some upgrades and new management via Austin-based short-term rental and hospitality services company AvantStay.

The hotel-esque SoBro Guest House does not offer many amenities found in a conventional hotel, but its units do include kitchenettes. Located at 310 Peabody St., it was most recently managed by Black Swan, a company that specializes in alternatives to traditional hotel accommodations and has locations in Nashville, Washington, D.C., Savannah, Ga. and West Palm Beach, Fla.
