Details continue to emerge related to the mixed-use innovation district Vanderbilt envisions for the western segment of the campus, with the university eyeing a green space to include a square and a path called "The Meander.”

In addition, and according to a multi-page document Vanderbilt recently submitted to the Metro Planning Department, the university is working with New York-based global landscape architecture and urban planning firm James Corner Field Operations. The company, which has offices in London and China, has worked on Seattle's Waterfront Park, New York's High Line, Chicago's Navy Pier and London' Camden Highline, among other high-profile projects.
