The Tennessee Historical Commission is recommending that the former Coca-Cola bottling plant (known later by many locals as the Jim Reed Showroom) in Nashville be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The State Review Board convened Sept. 18 to consider eleven nominations for the register. The Midtown bottling plant (located at 1525 Church St.) was the only Davidson County site considered and was unanimously approved by the board. The nomination will now be sent to the National Park Service for final consideration.
