Augenstein shows promise in Masters debut

Fifth-year Vanderbilt senior John Augenstein was one of just two amateur golfers to make the cut for the PGA’s 84^th Annual Masters tournament at Augusta, Georgia.

The reigning SEC Player of the Year finished tied for 55^th with PGA Tour standout Phil Mickelson with a plus-3 in his first time out at the Masters — three spots ahead of Vanderbilt alum Brandt Snedeker, who finished 59^th with a plus-7.
