An Indianapolis-based company has acquired Brentwood software venture Kindful, which focuses on nonprofit management and fundraising tools.

Terms of Bloomerang’s deal for nine-year-old Kindful aren’t being disclosed. Bloomerang markets cloud-based donor management software for small and mid-sized nonprofits and recently received funding from JMI Equity. Kindful’s software let charities raise money and manage their donor databases and fundraising efforts. The company has tracked more than $8 billion in donations. Earlier this year, Kindful CEO Jeremy Bolls said he believes the coronavirus outbreak is accelerating in the nonprofit sector technology trends that were already gaining momentum before the pandemic.
