BMS, Cooper sign LOI to renovate Fairgrounds Speedway

NASCAR’s return to the Nashville Fairgrounds is one step closer to becoming a reality after Nashville Mayor John Cooper and Bristol Motor Speedway officials signed a letter of intent Friday to renovate the Fairgrounds Speedway.

The letter of intent, which states that BMS would be responsible for managing and operating the Fairgrounds Speedway under a new, long-term lease and assume financial responsibility for all track renovations and maintenance, is subject to approval by the Board of Fair Commissioners and Metropolitan Council.
