Fueled by a 72-yard touchdown run from senior running back Tre' Hartwell plus some timely defensive stops, the Independence Eagles (3-2, 2-0) knocked off the Franklin Admirals (0-5, 0-2) Friday night, earning a 27-17 victory on the road.

The Admirals came back from a 20-0 deficit to pull within three points in the third quarter but ultimately the Eagles defense held strong down the stretch.
