Although no Nashville-area college football teams will be participating in the postseason, a pair of local players compiled an impressive haul of national  recognition. 

Vanderbilt punter Matthew Hayball has been named to three All-America teams by various outlets. The graduate senior was voted second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America, the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Associated Press.
