Tennessee State University announced Friday the appointment of alumnus and long-time employee Jennifer Bell as interim director of athletics, effective immediately.

The move follow’s TSU on Thursday having placed Athletic Director Mikki Allen on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation. About two months ago, six Tiger head coaches sent a no-confidence letter to President Dwayne Tucker, with their concerns focused on what they feel had been Allen’s ineffective leadership.
