SpecialtyCare acquires Atlanta IONM provider

Brentwood-based SpecialtyCare, a physician services company that monitors the integrity of patients' nervous systems during surgery, has announced the acquisition of Atlanta-based peer Neuropath.

The transaction establishes a new presence for SpecialtyCare in one of the Southeast's largest markets and expands the company’s network to more than 525 intraoperative neuromonitoring professionals who provide care to more than 800 customers, 2,500 surgeons and 110,000 patients annually, according to a press release. The expansion will also add a nice data set to the company’s procedural database, SCOPE, which it uses to identify standards and best practices to improve patients outcomes and care efficiencies.
