Six former PainMD clinics close

Six former PainMD clinics in Tennessee and Virginia have closed about three months after being sold to a company owned by a former PainMD medical director. 

The clinics were sold around December of last year to Rinova – The Wellness Group after PainMD faced allegations of submitting fraudulent claims to Medicare and Tricare totaling near $3.3 million which prompted the federal government to block all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reimbursements to the clinics pending the trial.
