The Nashville Predators experienced their version of holiday traffic Saturday in a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

The Predators attempted 61 shots to the Red Wings' 45 but only got 26 of them (42.6 percent) through to the net. Detroit's defense kept a lot of things to the outside and had bodies in place to block shots (20 of them) or at least to clog the shooting lanes so that Nashville's players did not have a clear path to the net.
