Noteworthy East Nashville restaurant to close

Eastland Café, a venerable member of the east side’s community of independently owned food and beverage businesses, will close Saturday, Jan. 23.

With the ceasing of operations at 97 Chapel Ave., the neighborhood restaurant will conclude a run that began in 2006. Previously, Chapel Bistro operated from the space, having opened in the early 2000s.
