Construction continues on the grounds of the Tennessee State Capitol during a major renovation of Capitol Hill and the Legislative Plaza on Aug. 28, 2026.

Renovations at the Tennessee State Capitol and surrounding grounds are set to be complete by the end of this year.

For the past several months, upgrades have been underway to fix leaks in the Capitol building's copper roof as well as the cupola. Exterior windows and doors throughout the building (which was built in 1859) have also undergone restoration.
