Vanderbilt poll: Mayor’s approval rating drops 13 points

Survey shows majority of Nashvillians feel city is on ‘wrong track' as concerns perhaps influenced by ice storm

A Vanderbilt University polls shows approval for Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell at 54 percent, down 13 points from 67 percent this time in 2025.

Similarly, about 56 percent of Nashvillians think the city is “on the wrong track” — up 14 points from the 42 percent who felt likewise a year ago.
