Poile solidifying Predators future during season pause

It’s been nearly six weeks since the Nashville Predators last took the ice, and while general manager David Poile can’t really do much in regard to this year’s team during the NHL’s season pause, that doesn’t mean he can’t shift his eyes toward next year’s club and beyond.

During the 42 days the team hasn’t been playing, the Predators have locked up a good portion of their prospects and future assets including goaltender Connor Ingram, forwards Cole Smith, Patrick Harper and Tommy Novak, and defenseman Alex Carrier.
