Pennsylvania company hires local health IT exec

Nashville native and health IT veteran Melissa Leigh has been hired on to a Pennsylvania-based medical management and cost containment solution provider at general counsel and chief compliance officer. 

In the newly created role, Leigh will lead KEPRO’s in-house legal, compliance and risk management functions, according to a press release. She will provide guidance ton governance, M&A, litigation, commercial, regulatory and employment matters. With more than 20 years of experience in the health IT industry, Leigh formerly worked for Nashville-based Intermedix for more than six years. (Publicly traded R1 RCM last May bought Intermedix.) Before that, she worked as the general counsel for ESi Acquisition.
