O’Charley’s parent equity boost plan on hold

Five months after being signed, a planned equity swap deal involving O’Charley’s holding company American Blue Ribbon Holdings isn’t happening just yet.

Executives with publicly traded Cannae Holdings said recently talks with Newport Global Opportunities Fund officials to streamline the ownership of Nashville-based ABRH are on hold. The two parties had planned to consolidate under Cannae the O’Charley’s and 99 Restaurants chains while moving family dining chains Village Inn and Baker's Square as well as the Legendary Baking business over to Newport.
