Safe Haven CEO preps retirement

Safe Haven Family Shelter CEO Joyce Lavery will retire from her post in March after more than a decade of leading the nonprofit that helps people experiencing homelessness.

Lavery has led Safe Haven since mid-2009 and has during her time at the helm grown the organization’s capacity and overseen the construction of a larger shelter. Previously, she had been executive director of the National Conference for Community and Justice’s Nashville region and president and executive director of Community Nashville.
