Predators clear cap space, get younger with Turris and Bonino moves

It was almost a forgone conclusion that the Nashville Predators would trade one of their higher-priced players to clear some cap space heading into free agency.

On Wednesday during the second round of the NHL draft, Nashville sent 32-year-old center Nick Bonino to the Minnesota Wild along with picks No. 37 (second round) and No. 70 (third round) in exchange for 22-year-old center Luke Kunin and pick No. 101 (fourth round).
