Nashville SC makes big splash with two MLS trades

Nashville Soccer Club General Manager Mike Jacobs didn’t waste any time Monday morning building his roster in preparation for its 2020 Major League Soccer debut.

On Monday, Nashville traded for Chicago Fire captain Dax McCarty and LA Galaxy defender Dave Romney, as reported by Paul Tenorio of The Athletic. Nashville will send $100,000 ($50,000 general allocation, $50,000 targeted allocation) and a second-round draft pick to Chicago for McCarty as well as $225,000 in allocation money for Romney.
