Nashville at law: Lawsuit says pit bulls attacked pregnant woman

The wife of an emergency-department physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is suing a neighbor over a 2009 pit bull attack that sent her to the emergency room and caused a complication in her pregnancy.

Cammi Brywczynski and her husband, Dr. Jeremy Brywczynski, of Hermitage, filed suit last week in Davidson County Circuit Court against Stephen K. Richey Sr. The complaint, available at this link, says that one year earlier, on Oct. 20, 2009, Cammi Brywczynski was walking her yellow Lab Oscar with a friend when three pit bulls owned by Richey bolted from his yard and charged toward them.
