Council approves near-$500M capital spending plan

The Metro Council on Tuesday approved Mayor John Cooper’s nearly $500 million capital spending plan, which includes funding for new schools, infrastructure projects and maintenance at Metro buildings.

The plan passed on a 31-7 vote.
