Mayor names new procurement chief

Metro Nashville’s chief diversity officer will soon be its chief procurement officer, as Mayor Megan Barry has appointed Michelle Hernandez-Lane (pictured) to the latter position.

Hernandez-Lane will lead the procurement division of the Metro Finance Department, a position that includes serving as Metro’s purchasing agent and overseeing bidding, contracting and procurement.
