University of Tennessee football coach Butch Jones said last weekend’s NFL Draft was a boon to his program’s current recruiting efforts.

Six UT players were selected, all within the first four rounds. Defensive end Derek Barnett was the first to go when the Philadelphia Eagles took him with the 14th overall selection. Running back Alvin Kamara (New Orleans) and cornerback Cameron Sutton (Pittsburgh) were third-round selections and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin (Detroit), wide receiver Josh Malone (Cincinnati) and quarterback Josh Dobbs (Pittsburgh) all were picked in the fourth round.
