Porter Road Butcher expands, adds processing facility

Chris Carter and James Peisker, the chefs-turned-butchers behind Nashville's two successful Porter Road Butcher shops, are expanding into the wholesale business with the launch of Porter Road Meat Co.

The pair closed on the purchase of Kentucky Specialty Meats, a small slaughterhouse and processing plant located in Princeton, Kentucky, on Friday. The new facility will allow the butchers to control more of the process than would otherwise be the case.
