A Nashville man has been charged with 38 counts of tax obstruction after allegedly withholding state sales tax for nearly three years while working for Seven Mares Restaurant in South Nashville.

Charles Bright (pictured) allegedly pocketed more than $60,000 of the withheld taxes and is charged with the highest level of felony theft. Previously, state authorities had warned and disciplined Bright, 54, multiple times for allegedly falsely posing as a certified public accountant.
