Money troubles for music maven

A well-known Music Row executive, producer and notable session drummer with many credits to his name may now find inspiration for a new country song — something about owing the bank lots of money and having nobody to turn to.

James C. Stroud, former owner of the Stroudavarious record label — which was shuttered last year — is the sole defendant in a complaint filed Feb. 3 in Davidson County Circuit Court by SunTrust Bank. Stroud apparently owes the Atlanta-based lender nearly $400,000 and hasn’t responded to its requisite demand letters.
