Economic development vacation

Hizzoner got on the phone with reporters Wednesday afternoon (early Thursday morning, Tokyo time) and said his trip (paid for by his family) wouldn't have a specific economic development announcement as the climax, but he will come back with "a greater familiarity with the Japanese government, the Japanese people and Japanese business[.]"

As for criticism - he hasn't heard any (this, of course, could be related to the three-quarters of a continent and the giant ocean between him and Nashville):
