After 20 years, Crosslin, Vaden part ways

Crosslin Vaden & Associates heralded its twentieth annniversary by announcing the founding partners will go separate ways and their respective firms will be renamed.Tomorrow, on the anniversary of the firm's founding in 1987, Crosslin Vaden becomes Crosslin & Associates.Partner Mike Vaden's last day will be Dec. 31, after which he will open his own practice, focusing on entertainment and sports clients, with offices on or near Music Row.Vaden has not yet returned a NashvillePost.com phone call placed this afternoon.A Crosslin spokeperson said that the agreement was "amicably reached," and Vaden's earlier lawsuit is "no longer applicable."As reported by NashvillePost.com in July, Vaden filed suit against co-founding partner Dell Crosslin in Davidson County Chancery Court.Vaden sought an injunction requiring Crosslin to permit Vaden and those working with him on the entertainment business to leave Crosslin Vaden with clients they currently serve, unencumbered by noncompete agreements.At the time, Crosslin's only comment was that Vaden's suit was an "unfortunate move."The Crosslin firm remains at 2525 West End Ave. NashvillePost.com has not yet determined Vaden's new business address.
