HCA director leaving due to age limit

HCA Healthcare director Jay Light is leaving the hospital company’s board due to a policy capping board members’ age at 75, HCA reported in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The 76-year-old was granted an exception last year because, the company said in filings, his experience as both dean of Harvard Business School and in leadership roles at health care organizations would be “particularly beneficial in providing financial and general business expertise.”
