Ex-Belmont guard takes Thunder job

Former Belmont point guard Paris Lawson will be going pro — as a digital content reporter for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lawson recently announced she will be joining the NBA team after four straight NCAA tournament runs with the Bruins. The Murfreesboro native, who went to Oakland High School, played 33 games in 2016-17, when she was second on the team with 38.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc. While she played sparingly in her final two seasons, she also took on a role as an on-air personality with Belmont’s ESPN campus productions.
