Duo aims to ease hospitality worker shortage

Two area women have launched a tech platform that seeks to help companies and workers in the hospitality industry — locally first, then across the country — connect with each other more quickly.

Halle Hayes and Mary Pillow Thompson four years ago helped launch Versher, an employment company focused on local professional women. That work, they say, led them to see the acuity of the worker shortage in Nashville’s restaurant and hospitality sectors and spurred them to launch FOH&BOH, which stands for front-of-house and back-of-house. Local investment firm Claritas Capital has taken a significant stake in FOH&BOH as part of Hayes’ and Thompson’s raising of $500,000 in capital.
