Dollar General adds ex-Mars exec to board

The directors of Dollar General this week formally added to their ranks a former Mars executive who now runs a marketing consultancy and a sauces and marinades maker.

The appointment of Debra Sandler Wednesday grows the Dollar General board to nine members, three of whom are women. Sandler, who is based in New York, will serve on the body’s nominating and governance committee.
