Covenant acquires six-clinic vision practice

Nashville-based Covenant Surgical Partners has taken a majority stake in a six-clinic optometry practice in Los Angeles — more than doubling the physician services company’s vision portfolio.

De La Peña Eye Clinic offers comprehensive vision services — ophthalmology, optometry, optical and surgical capabilities, among others — through an integrated care model that allows patients to receive referred care within the same facility. The company consists of five clinics and one surgery center with nine ophthalmologists, seven optometrists and more than 100 other employees. Since opening in 1984, De La Peña Eye Clinic has treated more than 400,000 patients.
