Commission suggests changes to legislator pay

A commission report could lead to changes in how Tennessee state legislators are paid and reimbursed for state work.

The Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations completed the study at the behest of a resolution sponsored by state Sen. Mae Beavers, R-Mount Juliet, and passed unanimously by both the House and Senate in March, reports Tom Humphrey in the Knoxville News Sentinel.
