Days after Community Health Systems reached a tentative labor agreement with a health care labor union in Washington, the nurses and health care workers "overwhelmingly ratified" the deal, according to a local report. "Our goal was to bargain a fair contract that will allow our hospitals to recruit and retain the best qualified health care workers so we can continue the tradition to give great quality care," said Nancy Westbrook, Admitting Representative at Deaconess Hospital. "We all stood together and we're very happy with this contract." The labor contract was the subject of local dispute for more than a year.
